Nostalgic TeleSeries called "Vikram Aur Betaal"

Vikram aur Betaal was one of the very favorite serials amongst the children and adults during late 1988s. The serial reminds me of childhood weekends, vacations and hot summers and a famous soft drink of that times "Rasna". Was rediscovering those serials in Youtube and really found amazing that the lessons are still that fresh and contemporary in this era too. If you will watch it today, the quality of the videos/acting won't be too much appealing but the lessons at the end will be worth watching.

The main plot was
"The legend says that King Vikramaditya, in order to fulfil a vow,
was required to remove a corpse of betaal from a treetop and
carry it on his shoulder to another place in silence.

Enroute, the spirit of Betaal (in the corpse) used to narrate a
story to the king and after completing the story Betaal would
pose a query that if he (The king) knew the answer, was bound
to respond lest he will break his head into thousand pieces.
But if he does speak out, he would break the vow of silence and
Betaal would fly back to the treetop, leaving the king inches short
of his destination! The king would go after the vampire and start
all over again. And so on and on.
"

Was trying to search where, who worte these stories and came to know about it as follows:
"For centuries, people have looked towards the East in their quest for knowledge. The past is rich with tales of brilliance, both entertaining and educative. Betaal Pachisi, written nearly 2,500 years ago by Mahakavi Somdev Bhatt, are spellbinding stories told to the wise King Vikramaditya by the wily ghost Betaal. The tales of Vikram and Betaal possess a wealth of pageantry and splendor of long ago. They are eternally enthralling stories which parents insists their children watch and share all the wealth, wonder and wisdom of this series.

Children and adults everywhere can experience the same sense of excitement, learn the same infinite lessons we here anticipate week after week, lessons that plant a seed of knowledge that flourishes while it excites their imagination, evokes their curiosity, King Vikram and the Ghost authentically re-creates the grandeur of that long-ago time when kings, queens, princesses, sages and countries strode the earth, larger than life itself."

The television industry say that this serial was also used for tasting the waters of Indian Audience for mythological serials. This serial became a foundation stone for making a greatest epic in Indian Television with the name of tele-series "Ramayana" which finds it name in Limca book of world record. They say that no body in India was on streets when Ramanyana was on air.

I hope the current TV industry should also come up with such series which bring age old East wisdom and still making sense in these times.

Velo Taxis - Modern form of Rickshaws in Japan increasing.

Velo Taxi is a German Concept which is catching up in Japan. "Velo" means Cycle.

A Velo Taxi in Japan

A primitive Rickshaw in Asia

This is a simple tricycle kind of vehicle which is rode by a "Velo Driver" and can accommodate max two passengers. This is being promoted as a "GREEN" option for traffic. After the ride they give you a receipt which shows how much is the charge of that ride and how much CO2 would have been emitted if you opted for a automobile like taxi or car. The company which operates these taxis have glamorized this concept and sell ads on the taxi's outer surface. The passenger pay for the ride feeling that they are contributing to the mother nature and the companies pay for the ads making their brand more appealing to the customers and ensuring their support to greener future.

At the other hand ,in the interview with Taxi and bus drivers, they express that it causes traffic jams because of its slow speed.

House Energy Management System

Energy conservation is becoming one of a big concerns in the world. To help every person to contribute in its preservation the main problem is to make the information transparent so that house residents know the energy being consumed in real time.
Following is such a system which addresses this issue and is being tested in house equipped with Solar Panels at the top of the roof and with other energy reusability measures.

The company plans to experiment it with real residents and try to sell the product after the test.
