Japan uncut

Just arrived back to Japan on Saturday morning after a precautionary 2 weeks in India. Came alone this time so that I can see myself are there any issues in leading a normal life atleast where we live I.e saitama, near Tokyo. Followed our great india vs SriLanka final and what a proud day it was for all of us as Indians. Where our great nation of fulfilled this dream after 28 years the nation which has allowed us working and given work opportunities, Japan, is trying to come out of it's worst nightmare ever.

Boarded a train in Saitama towards Tokyo and being a Sunday evening everyone is travelling as usual with their families and friends. Everying is running as usual. People coming from electronics district with new laptops/gadget. Everyone taking steps to bring the things to normal conditions. People are wearing masks, not due to radiations but this is quite normal here being spring season of "Kafun" or hayfever.

Hay Fever, "Kaafun" (in the pic)
There was planned blackouts which not being implemented since the citizens of Japan has responded tremendously to government request to save electricity. The over stocking of water by individuals is being controlled by allowing individuals to buy 500 ml to 1 ltr per person. Even though government has certified the tap water is fine for drinking, people want to take some precautionary measure for some time. I also have to take this step since my wife Swapna and infant Ved will be with me in couple of weeks time. I have opted for a water purifier kind of device with changeable 12 ltr cans. I will need it as a family with an infant.

Usual Rush at the station, kids going out for play too

People out even with infants

Lot of my friends I hear will be coming back in near future. I am seeing this as any other major incident back in home like blast in trains in Mumbai, where after few days people have to go back to their normal routines to ensure other part of economy it life returns to normal bringing the epicenter of the incident back to the usual pace.

At Fukushima, efforts are still going to bring in control the nuclear reactors. France president Sarkozy also increased their support to japan by offering robots which can go to riskier areas to do the work or measure radiations. Aviva, company which played big role in Chernobyl, also extended their helping hands to Japan SDF, to cone out of this crises.

People at evacuation center, are still out of their houses near Fukushima. There many countries have offered lot of things including India like blankets and water. Apart frim big Countries, nations like Afganistan,
Iran, Pakistan are also helping in one way or the other to the affected region by offering portable toilets cooking food and distributing to the person living in evacuation centre.

Around 11,000 propel are offically declared dead and efforts continue to find out missing 10,000. Estimated loss of 300 billion dollars due to msssive Tsunami.

Let us pray that all the life return to normal in coming months and Japan bounce back to the point where it left on 11th march.
afternoon. Spring is round the corner when the moods also start changing.

Lovely flowers blooming
