Digital Transformation term is being used widely recently in technology corridors, but what does it mean for an enterprise ? What actions should an organization take ? are the points briefly addressed in this post.
Here are the 5 Action Steps.
Action 1 : Innovate your Business models/Services/UX
Action 2 : Focus and Transform Processes, not just technology
Action 3 : Construct a Comprehensive Governance Framework
Action 4 : Transform Culture (Working Culture)
Action 5 : Think how emerging technology can improve your product and services
Above is a very broad, quick, actionable bullet points items, which need a dedicated deep dive-in and bring out what specific points under each of 5 heads, needs to be covered in realizing the Digital Transformation dream. The deep dive will bring out the "Why", "What" and "How" of goals an organization wants to achieve.
Digital Transformation of companies doesn`t mean "only technology change".
Since an organization, or a company, a firm or an Enterprise, irrespective of it`s size and revenue, is a combination of People, Tools Knowledge, Skills and unique Capabilities, it has to take into account all 360 degree view of complete organization and bring out the best strategy for the company which is unique for it and is not a result of straight copy of business models of the competitors.
Only either of above 5 points, or few of them will not suffice, it has to be holistic. Of course it can be done in phases. We have seen many companies aiming for Digital Transformation without taking into consideration their "People" and "Process" aspect. More risky is aiming for digital transformation, without defining the "Value proposition" they want to realize. At the same time we have seen companies bringing out real value to customers, when the above 5 steps were thoroughly followed.
In above Exhibit, where on one hand, point 1 and 2 are more about business enhancers which will directly add to business growth , on the other hand, 3 4 and 5 are business enablers which will result in operational improvements.
So when you think of Digital transformation, you need to ask "How the new technology landscape help my organization in achieving new revenue growth along with how can we transom our operational part, encompassing tools, knowledge and processes with an essential `People` part in it".
This approach goes beyond the borders and cultures. The focus is more on enterprise to think deeply and see the "how we work and how we can add value in the market improving the customer growth and companies bottom lines".
Life is like a roller coaster ride with ups and downs..but it's your choice to either scream or enjoy the ride.

What is Digital Transformation ?
What is Digital Transformation ?
1)Digital Transformation for companies means
1)Digital Transformation for companies means
Re-envisioning
Customer Experience,
Operational Processes
& business models
due to the sea change in technology
in past decade.
2) That is equal to :
=
Business needs to ask what is the impact of the Digital Technology
on my business ?
=
You do not need just a Digital Strategy, you need a business strategy
which will obviously cover the technology
part
=
Digital Technology is nothing new, but what is new is technology
is in customer's hands for the first time
=
Hence social behavior, data analytics, power of computing available
in cloud
in the world which is already “On”
=
How do we find profitable growth
=
New kind of relationship needs to be established with Customers
=
New Kind of Experience and values need to be created
=
Make them aware, convert and retain and make it sustainable.
3) Growth Drivers and Operational Improvements
From Demand Generation to New Business Models
What is Disruptive Innovation
Disruption
Innovation is an innovation that
creates
a new market and value network and eventually
disrupts
an existing market and value
network,
displacing
established market leading firms,
products and alliances.

Cave of Fear
A short bed time story for kids and even grownups :
The title is "The Cave of Fear" !
There was once a town where the thing everyone feared the most was getting lost at night in the "Cave of Fear". No one had ever returned from there, and whenever anyone got lost and ended up there, the last that was heard was a great cry of terror, followed by a few enormous guffaws. The townsfolk lived in terror that one day the monster would leave the cave. So they regularly left gifts and food at the mouth of the cave, and these always soon disappeared.
One day, a young man came to town, and, as he heard about the situation with the cave, he thought that it was unfair. So he decided to enter the cave and confront the monster. The young man asked for some help, but everyone was so afraid that not a single person approached the mouth of the cave with him. He went inside, finding his way with a torch, and calling out to the monster, wanting to talk with it and discuss the situation. At first, the monster had a good long laugh, and the young man followed the sound of the monster's voice. But then the monster went quiet, and the young man had to carry on, not knowing in which direction to go.
Finally he arrived at a huge cavern. At the bottom of the cavern he thought he could make out the figure of the monster, and as he approached it, he felt that something hit him hard on his back. This pushed him forward towards a hole in the rock. He couldn't avoid it, and fell through. Believing that he was about to die, he let out one last cry. Then he heard the great guffaws.
-"Darn it, I think the monster has swallowed me,"
he said, whilst falling.
However, as he fell, he heard music, and voices. They got clearer, and when he made a soft landing at the bottom, he heard a group of people shout:
-"Surprise!!"
Hardly believing it, he found himself right in the middle of a big party.
The partygoers were all those people who had never returned to the town. They explained to him that this place had been the idea of an old mayor of the town. That mayor had tried to accomplish great things, but was always held back by the fears of the people around him. So the mayor invented the story of the monster to demonstrate to people how such an attitude was so limiting. So the young man stayed there, enjoying the party and the company of all those who had dared to approach the cave.
And what about the town?
In the town they still believe that to enter the Cave of Fear is the worst of all punishments...
So what's the moral ?
LESSON FOR PARENTS
In two independent houses, separated by a compound two people were living, in one a retired person and in the other a techie.
They had planted identical saplings on either sides of the compound.
The techie used to give lot of water and manure to the plants.
The retired, just small quantity of water and little manure.
The techies plant grew into lush green, leafy robust plant.
The retired person's plant was a near normal but much luxuriant than his neighbor's.
One night there was a heavy rain with gusty wind.
Next morning both came out to see the fate of the plants.
To techie's surprise his plant had got uprooted where as his neighbor's was unharmed.
Techie asks the retired as why his plant was uprooted despite such a good care where as the neighbor had hardly cared.
The retired person's answer should be a lesson for all of us.
*Look young man, you had supplied every thing a plant would need,in abundance and the plant did not have to go in search of it.
Your roots did not have to go down.
I was supplying just enough to keep it alive.
For the rest roots had to go down into the ground to fulfil it's needs.
Since your roots were superficial the rain and wind could easily fell it.
Since my roots were pretty deeply grounded they could withstand the onslaught of the nature.
The same applies to our children too.
Have an awesome day...😃🙏🏼👍🏼🌼

Brief History and Background:
This Stupa has relics of Buddha presented by Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru in 1964. Even before this, the ancient story of relics of Buddha is really interesting for the students of History.
When Buddha left his body and when he was cremated, the relics were to go to only his clan. But there was a demand from other six clans and a king. Hence to avoid the conflicts it was equally divided between them. After many decades when King Ashoka was also greatly influenced by Teaching of Buddha, he re-dug these relics and re-divided into 84,000 parts and equal number of Stupas were created across the land under his rule. A portion from one of these ruins of Stupas were recovered and also found their way in different countries of the world. Japan was also one of them in those time. However, relics particularly for this stupa traveled in modern history after India got its independence from British Colonization.
This Stupa has messages conveying world peace. And it makes complete sense coming from this country which has seen the worst face of weapon of mass destruction and always appeal to the world not to use that again and leave the path of war. There is an apt message written here even in hindi saying "Vishwa Shaanti Mein Hee Sansaar Ka Kalyaan Hai" i.e Betterment/Happiness of the world resides in World Peace.
Kids Friendly:
For kids, there is a small play area where they will enjoy staying in this place. Also there are hundreds of Sakura trees planted in this area which must be giving this place a different charm in spring season. Kids even enjoy the big bell
Nearby Location:
You can combine this trip with a visit to nearby Gotemba Premium Outlet Mall where there are all the famous brands available and offer a wide variety of products with a very attractive prices. To name few are Adidas, Nike, Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Patagonia, Coach, Crocs, , It also offers great options for eating and can be a treat for connoisseurs.

Here is the Google Map For Gotemba Premium Outlet Mall.
